Harley Davidson Softail
The name Harley Davidson will always be associated with powerful motorcycles. Friends William Harry, Arthur Davidson and with the assistance of Walter Robinson (Arthur’s Brother) they were able to build their first engine for motorcycle in 1903. But it would take four more years before Harley Davidson was formally established with the opening of their company in Wisconsin. Since then, the company continued production of motorcycles and motorcycle engines. By 1920, they became the biggest motorcycle manufacturer in the world. The company even survived the challenges of the Great Depression. Although the reputation of being the biggest is no longer theirs, their dedication to quality and to the industry is always recognized.The softail of Harley Davidson refers to the series of motorcycles refers to the type of suspension in the rear of Harley Davidson motorcycles. This type of motorcycle, including the patent for the term was introduced in 1984. The rear suspension is almost invisible and has the ability to control motorcycle shocks. The front suspension is also customizable according to the preferences of the rider. This type of motorcycle is also known for its vibration because it doesn’t have rubber mounts which controls the vibration in the motorcycle. This has been slightly addressed with a revolutionized engine but the vibration is still distinct for the softail.
