Harley Davidson Touring
The roots of Harley Davidson could be traced way back in 1901 when William Harley and Arthur Davidson started working on a design for motorcycle made by Harley. It took them two years with the help of their Arthur’s brother Walter before the engine was finally made. It was thought that the first engine didn’t actually fare well as it can’t easily climb hills. But by 1905, they were already producing quality engines for motorcycles. The company was formally established in 1907. After more than 100 years, the company is still located in the Wisconsin – in the exact spot where the first factory was built. The touring series of Harley Davidson maybe their most familiar model because of its classic Harley Davison look. The series first came out in 1941 and since then, different designs of Harley Davidson motorcycles were derived from the touring series. For example, the sporting series of motorcycles of Harley Davidson could also be dubbed as touring because of its larger frame. Because of the legacy of the touring series, the design is being revamped constantly to fit to any preferences of the rider. This type of Harley Davidson motorcycle is also used by some police forces around the country.
